When a struggling background extra becomes the sole witness to a murder on a horror film set, she must solve the crime before the killer eliminates the only evidence: her.
SYNOPSIS:
When Maya Chen, a professional background extra, witnesses what appears to be a real murder on the set of a horror film, she becomes entangled in a deadly mystery.
Unable to convince anyone—not the crew, not the police, not even her friends—that the crime actually happened, Maya must piece together the evidence herself.
As she investigates Amanda Cross’s mysterious disappearance, Maya discovers the film’s newly promoted screenwriter has a hidden motive: the script he’s now credited with was stolen from him years ago.
With each clue she uncovers—a missing carving knife, a pink phone, forged signatures—Maya gets closer to the truth. But so does the killer, who realizes there’s only one person who can expose him: the extra no one notices.
In a thriller about visibility and invisibility, Maya must find her voice and prove what she witnessed before she becomes the killer’s next victim.

Twenty-eight years after finishing second at the 1999 World Series of Poker, 57-year-old poker legend Gabe Freeman is a ghost living in the shadow of the victory that never was. When a 24-year-old algorithmic poker prodigy named Jax Quinn demolishes him at a high-stakes game, Gabe is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth: the instinct-driven poker he mastered has been replaced by mathematical precision and GTO strategy.
Desperate to stay relevant, Gabe hires Jax to teach him the new game—but in the process of learning her cold, calculated approach, he loses the very thing that made him dangerous: his soul.
